Why Our Pickles Won a 2026 Good Food Award & Flavor of Georgia
Small-Batch, Award-Winning, and Made in Tucker, GA
In 2026, our pickles picked up back-to-back recognition: a 2026 Good Food Award for The Spicy Garlic, a 2026 Flavor of Georgia win for The Green Tomatoes, a Good Housekeeping Snack Award, and a feature on the TODAY Show. Here's what actually goes into a jar that keeps winning.
It Starts With a Real Kitchen, Not a Factory Line
Every flavor is handcrafted in small batches at our facility in Tucker, GA — not mass-produced on an industrial line. That means more hands-on quality control per jar, and it means we can run 40+ flavors instead of the 3–4 a big co-packer would allow.
Food Safety You Can Actually Verify
"Clean label" is a marketing phrase for a lot of brands. For us it's backed by process: our team holds BPCS (Better Process Control School) certification from the University of Tennessee's food science program and PCQI training, our facility is FDA-registered, and every recipe follows a scheduled acidified-foods process approved to hit a finished equilibrium pH of 4.2 or below — the standard that makes shelf-stable pickles safe without artificial preservatives.
Why Two Different Award Categories?
The Spicy Garlic won in the Good Food Awards' Pickles (South) category — judged nationally on taste and craft. The Green Tomatoes won Flavor of Georgia in Pickled Vegetables, Relish & Salsas — a statewide competition specifically for Georgia-made products. Winning in both a national craft-food competition and a state agricultural competition in the same year says the product holds up whether judges are comparing it to other pickles or to Georgia produce in general.

FAQ
What does "small-batch" actually mean for pickles?
It means production runs are limited in size and closely monitored by hand rather than run continuously on automated industrial lines — allowing more flavor variety and tighter quality control per batch.
Are these pickles made in Georgia?
Yes. Production is based in Tucker, GA (DeKalb County), and several flavors have specifically won Georgia-focused awards like Flavor of Georgia.
What is a Good Food Award?
The Good Food Awards are a national U.S. competition recognizing food and drink that is both delicious and produced responsibly — entries are judged on taste first, then vetted for sourcing and production standards.
