Our Mission

We believe better food leads to a better world — and we’re doing our part, one jar at a time.

Our mission at [PICKLES] is to bring bold, clean, and creative flavors to the world while honoring our roots, celebrating real ingredients, and making healthy food more exciting, accessible, and joyful.

We’re proud to be part of the healthy food movement — a community of changemakers who know that nutrition should never come at the cost of flavor, and that small choices (like what goes in your fridge) can lead to big change.

We make food that’s honest, fresh, and full of life.

Because real food, real ingredients, and real stories matter.

Our Story

[PICKLES] began with two people, two continents, and one shared belief: real food, made honestly, brings people together.

Salwa grew up just outside Jerusalem, in a region where food is memory, hospitality, and identity all at once. Raised by a strong single mother, she learned the art of pickling at the elbows of her mother and grandmother — and the brine in every jar we sell today is still her family’s recipe, carried across generations and across an ocean. In a household where everything was made from scratch, pickling wasn’t just preservation — it was a way of life.

Randy was born in Germany, where a love of craft — of doing things properly, with no shortcuts — runs deep. A U.S. veteran and former supply chain executive, he brought discipline and precision to the kitchen, and then revealed something more: a fearless creative streak for flavor. The Ghost Pickle, the Banana Pickle, the Heat & Sweet — the bold combinations our Pickle People can’t stop talking about are Randy’s imagination at work, layered over Salwa’s family brine.

Travel shaped them both. From Jerusalem to Germany to every market, spice stall, and family table they’ve wandered together, they kept falling in love with the same thing: authenticity you can taste. Real ingredients. Real traditions. Nothing artificial, nothing pretended.

And of all the places in the world, it was Atlanta where their two roads crossed. They met here and built a life here — so when it came time to give their pickles a home, there was never any question. Atlanta is home. That’s why this house of pickles lives at atlantapickles.com.

During the stillness of the pandemic, they left their careers to build something real. Salwa began pickling again — first for herself, then for neighbors. One jar became dozens; dozens became sold-out farmers markets. And as the jars multiplied, each found their lane: Randy creates the flavors; Salwa created the brand — the name, the look, the voice, the entire house of pickles that is [PICKLES]™.

Her family’s brine. His flavors. Her brand. His operations. Two continents of food tradition in every jar — brought together, and handcrafted, in Atlanta, Georgia.

What started at home is now a thriving business with a growing national presence, built on tradition, innovation, and the belief that healthy food should always feel like something to celebrate.
