Our commitment

[PICKLES] by Evergreen & Market wants everyone to be able to shop for and enjoy our pickles, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we are doing

• Describing product photos with text alternatives.
• Labelling buttons, links and form fields so assistive technology can announce them.
• Keeping the site usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link.
• Checking colour contrast and fixing text that is hard to read.
• Making pop-ups keyboard-friendly: focus moves into them and the Esc key closes them.
• Testing pages with automated tools and fixing what we find.

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some content comes from third-party tools (for example reviews, subscriptions and checkout), which we do not fully control, but we raise problems with those providers and look for alternatives when needed.
