Low Sodium Pickles: Big Flavor With 79% Less Sodium
Most people who love pickles have had the same moment: you finish a few spears, reach for water, and realize the main thing you tasted was salt. Supermarket pickles lean hard on sodium because salt is cheap and it covers for a short ingredient budget.
Ours do not. Every [PICKLES] jar has 79% less sodium than typical store-bought pickles, and the flavor is bigger, not smaller. Here is why that matters, which jars to start with, and why lower-sodium pickles make an easy everyday snack and a thoughtful gift.

Why most pickles taste so salty
A mass-market pickle is built to sit on a shelf and taste the same in every store in the country. Salt does a lot of that work, so it ends up being the loudest flavor in the jar. Read the label on a big-brand spear next to ours and the difference in the sodium line is hard to miss.
When salt is turned down, the rest of the jar has to carry the flavor: vinegar, herbs, spices, garlic and peppers. That is the whole idea behind a craft pickle, and it is why our pickles taste like dill, garlic, bay leaf or red jalapeño instead of just "salty".
What 79% less sodium means for you
You taste the pickle, not the salt shaker
With less salt in the way, the spices come through. The Dill Chips taste of coriander and lemon-lime zest. The Vintage tastes of classic pickling spice and crushed bay leaf. You notice the difference on the first bite.
A snack you can keep reaching for
Pickles are a go-to crunchy snack, and a lower-sodium jar makes it easier to enjoy a few more spears without the salt overload. If you are keeping an eye on how much sodium you eat, a jar of ours is an easy swap for the supermarket brand.
Brine worth sipping
Pickle-juice fans drink the brine straight or as a post-workout sip. Vinegar brine naturally contains electrolytes like sodium and potassium, and a pickle-brine shot is a post-workout classic. For a ready-to-pour bottle, see The Pickle Juice and our pickle juice guide.
The best low-sodium pickles to start with
Every jar we make carries the same 79% less sodium, so you can pick purely by flavor. We sort them into three families: Sour, Spicy and Sweet.
If you love a classic dill
The Dill Chips are the least sour on our scale, with coriander and lemon-lime zest. The Kosher Dill Spears are the garlicky deli-style spear. The Vintage is medium sour with classic pickling spice, and The Power Sour is the most sour jar we make. Browse the whole classic dill collection.
